Field Service

AXYS Service Team with 3m BuoyAXYS has extensive experience in the training, deployment, and maintenance for operational buoy and system programs. The AXYS Service Team employs senior Field Specialists that know the AXYS products intimately and have over 60 years of combined oceanographic and operational buoy experience. These specialists are capable of board level diagnostics/repair in the field, and individual electronic component level diagnostics/repair in the lab.

AXYS can provide full turnkey installation programs for any of our products, anywhere in the world. Our staff is experienced in working in all climates: from coastal temperate to high seas, from the arctic to the tropics, and both domestic and international locations. There are no locations we consider too remote.

Working with our clients and our regional agents, we will co-ordinate the installation or service logistics required to ensure the installation or repair of AXYS systems. Annual service contracts for AXYS equipment can be quoted for any program. For emergency repair service, AXYS’ service engineers can identify and repair your problem quickly to allow for short station down times. Please contact us for more information on our rates and response times in your area of the world.

Repair

A service and production laboratory is located at AXYS' head office in Sidney, B.C. Canada. These facilities are capable of repairing all of our manufactured instrumentation. Modifications or repairs to any of the aluminum buoys are easily accommodated at nearby fabricators. Should your AXYS equipment require repair or assessment, please see the Return Material Authorization (RMA) Instructions.

Calibration

This facility is certified by the National Research Council of Canada to provide wave instrument calibration for government run/regulated programs. Compass calibrations are performed by AXYS' personnel at the nearby Institute of Ocean Sciences magnetic calibration facility.
