The buoy upgrade scope of work is flexible and is built around your needs and requirements. Our team will discuss your needs with you and after careful review and analysis we will recommend a course of action. This may take the form of a complete buoy overhaul, including the supply of a new power system with solar panels and rechargeable batteries, new wiring, a new controller and telemetry, and new sensors. Or it may simply be the addition of the WatchMan500TM Data Acquisition System to control and reuse your existing meteorological or oceanographic sensors. Depending on the complexity of the scope and customer preferences, we may send our engineers and field service specialists to your site to carry out the upgrade. In other cases we may require the existing buoy or components, such as sensor pod, to be sent to us with work to be performed at our premises. Making sure these upgrades are done properly is paramount to your and our success. All systems from AXYS must first pass a 60 hour burn in test and meet our strict quality control standards before sign off and delivery can happen.
