Wave, Current and Water Level Monitoring

Wave, current and water level data is an important parameter to monitor in order to ensure safe and secure waterway navigation. The inclusion of water level, 3D currents and wave height, speed, and direction spectrum are essential details not only for mariners but also for offshore hydrocarbons and gas exploration companies, alternative energy researchers, military and national weather agencies.

AXYS Technologies Inc. offers complete solutions through their turnkey TRIAXYS™ Directional Wave Buoy, TRIAXYS™ with Currents Buoy, TRIAXYS™ Mini Directional Wave buoy, recently updated TRIAXYS™ Sensors, HydroLevel™ Buoy, custom data display software, WaveView™, and mooring design.

TRIAXYS Directional Wave Buoy

Oil and Gas. Military and Security. Ports and Harbours. Renewable Energy.

For more than 10 years, TRIAXYSTM Directional Wave Buoys have allowed users within these and other market sectors to make more timely and accurate decisions. The TRIAXYSTM buoy can be configured with any telemetry option and is powered by environmentally and economically friendly solar panels and rechargeable batteries. It can be deployed in water depths from a few metres up to 300 metres. System training commissioning and deployment is available and often utilized. The buoy comes with a standard 1 year parts and labour warranty. More Information

TRIAXYSTM with Currents Buoy
TRIAXYS with Currents Buoy

Measure waves and currents from one buoy!

The TRIAXYSTM with Currents Buoy’s measuring capability was developed to meet the demand for a combined wave and current measuring device that avoids the problems associated with seabed-mounted instrumentation. This dual function buoy measures directional waves and 3D currents accurately and precisely. Power comes from 4 lead acid rechargeable batteries connected to solar panels. A range of radio, cellular and satellite telemetry options exist to send data back to shore. Various mooring designs are available as are buoy training, commissioning and deployment services. TRIAXYSTM Mini Directional Wave Buoy

Highly portable buoy designed for short-term wave measurement deployments.

Initially developed for the United States Navy, the TRIAXYS™ Mini Directional Wave Buoy is a precision instrument incorporating advanced technologies that make it an easy to use, rugged, and economical buoy for accurate measurement of directional waves. More Information

TRIAXYSTM Sensors

TRIAXYSTM Directional Wave Sensor, Heave Sensor and Motion Sensor - the next revolution in wave measurement

The recently upgraded TRIAXYS™ wave and motion sensors are high precision instruments that have set a new standard for wave and motion measurement. The innovative design incorporates new technologies that make them easy to use, rugged, as well as the most reliable and accurate sensors available for measuring oceanic platform motion, waves, and directional wave spectra. This sensor has been integrated numerous times into existing navigation and data buoys as upgrades to allow users to measure wave and motion. More Information

HydroLevelTM Buoy

A revolution in accurate offshore water-level measurements

The AXYS HydroLevel™ buoy accurately monitors water level elevation in any body of water where a surface following buoy can be deployed. HydroLevel™ is a precision instrument, which incorporates the latest GPS RTK and motion sensing technologies, making the HydroLevel™ the leading solution for an accurate, easy to use, rugged economical product for the measurement of water elevation. More Information

WaveViewTM Data Display Software

Ideal software for processing, displaying and archiving data from TRIAXYSTM Wave Buoys or Sensors

AXYS WaveViewTM software processes, displays, and archives data received from the TRIAXYSTM Directional Wave Buoy via the TRIAXYSTM Digital Receiver (TDR). WaveViewTM processes the data to reconstitute the wave spectra that have been calculated on the buoy. The wave conditions in the form of zero-crossing and spectral statistics as well as directional and non-directional spectra are displayed in separate frames on the WaveViewTM main screen.
