Wave Analysis, Display and Archiving Software
WaveView™ software processes, displays, and archives the data received from the TRIAXYS™ Directional Wave Buoy via the TRIAXYS™ Digital Receiver (TDR).
WaveView™ processes the data to reconstitute the wave spectra that have been calculated on the buoy using proprietary software developed by AXYS and the Canadian Hydraulics Centre (CHC) of the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada.
The wave conditions in the form of zero-crossing and spectral statistics as well as directional and non-directional spectra are displayed in separate frames on the WaveView™ main screen. The user can customize the zero-crossing and spectral statistics frames by choosing which statistics to display and which to hide. The last 24 hours to 7 days of statistical data are shown in individual time series. Clicking on these time series, the power spectrum, or directional spectrum enlarges them for easy viewing.
Data can optionally be stored in a SQL database in addition to the standard ASCII archives.
Post Processing Software and Data Viewer
The AXYS Technologies Inc. (AXYS) Post Processing Software and Data Viewer were designed to work exclusively with the TRIAXYS Directional Wave Buoy™, allowing processing and graphical display of logged data to appear in a format to similar to WaveView™. The data processor produces time series of heave, north, and east displacements along with summary spectral information including directional spectra, non-directional power spectra, and distributions of mean direction and mean spread as a function of frequency. The spectral data processor produces the same summary information.
The Data Viewer software displays directional spectra in a graphical format and measured 4Hz heave traces with north and east displacements (i.e. raw data processor and summary spectral data processor).
