WatchMan500™

The WatchMan500™ is an intelligent, configurable, expandable, sensor I/O platform with two-way communications, designed to be deployed in any location, including remote and rugged environments for long term operations. The WatchMan500™ was designed as the new generation of payload for the AXYS Technologies Inc. (AXYS) marine buoy and terrestrial weather information systems to provide desktop to sensor monitoring and control including dynamic onboard control and data storage capabilities.

Data Management System

An essential element of managing any monitoring network is the ability to command and control system components when needed. AXYS Technologies Inc. designed its Data Management System (DMS) with this and more in mind.

The AXYS DMS is the PC software used to communicate with and manage WatchMan500™ stations. Users have complete control over the configuration, control and expansion of their monitoring network. New sensors can be added and sampling rates changed at any time. Data transmission times can be modified to reflect user power requirements.DMS screen shot

The AXYS Data Management System (DMS) performs four main functions:

  • Communications management
  • WatchMan500™ station configuration and management
  • Data Collection to a DBMS(Database Management System)
  • Data dissemination (DBMS, serial, TCP/IP etc)

Each AXYS DMS can manage multiple WatchMan500™ stations and simultaneously collect data messages from them.
