AVOS ™ Bridge Software

The AVOS ™ Bridge Software (PDF, 558 Kb) is a touch-screen interface that provides an easy and intuitive means of displaying and viewing real-time data collected with the AXYS AVOS™ (Automatic Voluntary Observing Ship) system.

The AVOS™ data acquisition system automatically prepares a FM13 message for transmission to the WMO (World Meteorological Association). The Bridge Software displays and archives the real-time information collected, and enables a user to modify or augment the FM13 message with additional cloud, visibility, wave, weather and ice data.

The display is typically located on the bridge of the vessel to provide the crew with up-to-date meteorological information. Built-in quality control modules enhance the accuracy of the system by identifying suspect data. Data entry and display is made easy through the use of simple navigation buttons.
